Description: The Office of Sustainability and Clean Energy leads the State of Wisconsin in addressing the effects of climate change through programs and policies that support the use of clean energy resources and technology. The office has developed multiple plans to assist the state in reaching it’s climate and energy goals, including the Clean Energy Plan and Climate Action Plan. In addition the Office houses a Lead By Example program which is supporting state agencies to transition their facilities and fleets to realize substantial cost savings, reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), improve energy supply, build resilience, and procure more sustainable products. The Office also supports a state-wide network of climate organizations, local and state government representatives, tribes, and other climate actors.
